Welcome to Dolphins class, we hope you had a fantastic break and are now feeling ready for a new exciting year at school.
This terms topic is ‘Movers and Shakers’. Your child will identify people who are historically significant through reading different stories and asking questions. They will study the life and impact of a significant person in the locality, Joseph Cyril Bamford, who began JCB the manufacturing company and other significant individuals from around the world. They will learn about explorers, Christopher Columbus and Neil Armstrong, and find out what they discovered! The children will be reading a variety of stories which link to this topic including, ‘Greta and the Giants, Man on the Moon and The Great Explorer’.
