Welcome back, we hope you all had a great Easter holiday.
Before half term we explored our topic about What Happens When I fall Asleep? We had a pyjama party where we practised brushing our teeth, washing dolls, and listening to bedtime stories as part of our bedtime routines. We all had fun exploring our sensory room with glow in the dark stars and planets, as well as making planets, and decorating rockets. We also used our home-made telescopes to look at the night sky. Unfortunately the Space Dome immersive experience was fully booked for last term, but happily they are visiting on the 17th May, so it will be great to find out what pupils have remembered about the night sky.
This half term our topic is: Are we there yet? In this topic we will be asking the questions: Where in the world would you like to go? How would you like to travel there? Explore these questions and more in this project about transport, travel and places near and far! Possible lines of enquiry include:
• different types of transport
• how things move
• holiday destinations
• fast and slow
• keeping safe on the roads and pavements
• imaginary and real journeys
In Whales class we have a new member of staff; Karly Edwards has joined us from Penguins class, and Beth Woodings has gone to Penguins.
In Whales class we have a limited supply of fruit which we use for snack. To support us in providing an alternative, small donations of up to £1 a week are gratefully received. Thank you for your support with this.
